  1. RikaFurude says:

Please. Dear god Oyashiro-Sama. I need those tickets.

  2. Gerkuman says:

‘Please ensure that you will be able to travel to and attend the Summer of Sonic convention before considering registering for tickets.’

Some of us aren’t able to purchase train tickets until some time after we get one of the SoS tickets, due to salaries/JSA/etc. Just putting that out there.

    • Dreadknux says:

That’s fine. We just want everyone to have a fair chance of getting tickets, that’s all. :)

      • Gerkuman says:

Oh definitely. There’s a big difference between ‘I know that I can save up to get here, so please give me a ticket’ and ‘I have no idea but give me a ticket anyway’ :)

  3. JoelxSonic says:

    MUST GET TICKETS

  4. James [OrangeWisp] says:

Sounds good,is there a limit to how many you can order at one time, or is it one per person? I’m planning on taking a group of about 5.

  5. Ishmail Adeola says:

This is amazing:D!!! Just someone pls tell me how to get the tickets for my and my famliy.

  6. Spikey says:

Woooo!!! Ive been out and bought the best printer carts for this…thanks for info..will he next wave be the same day or a different day?? ^_^

  7. I need to get some tickets for two of my friends as well as mine. Will that be problematic? :)

  8. marcustherocker says:

I shall be ready and waiting by my computer ready to get my ticket as there is no way in hell I am missing out :D

  9. sonicwalter says:

-_- oh well. might aswell get 2 tickets and go anyway

  10. ScourgeTheHedgehog says:

I need to get 2 for my dad and me and we’re gonna try to get them as poss! I know this is only the 1st wave, but I’m really desperate to go this year! :D Can’t wait!!

    • sonicwalter says:

don’t worry. if you only can get 1, there’s going to be another wave in a few days. don’t know if there’s going to be 2, 3 or who knows how many waves there’s gonna be but i know for sure you will be able to get 2

  11. Rickhog says:

I need to convice someone to go with me. I want to go so badly!

  12. Aidan J says:

Will your host be ready to take on the amount of traffic you’re expecting tomorrow?

  13. Aidan J says:

    Sunday* my bad

  14. simon h says:

Come Sunday, i’ll be getting my ticket 12:00 sharp. Just hope the site doesn’t crash due to the amount of people getting their tickets all at the same time.

  15. I think I’ll just stake out the website for the entire day to make sure I get a ticket.

  16. Madeline says:

Nearly everyone wants tickets so bad, I hope the webpage is up and running before 12 and I can just see the webpage crashing because of all the people ordering the tickets

  17. danny hodges says:

I will definately get my ticket the moment the link pops up I am attending this year definitley

  18. Aidan J says:

If there’s some kind of captcha used to prevent bots, it should ask Sonic trivia…

  19. karl george says:

Im working until 4pm tomorrow, will there be a time deadline ( although i doubt i’ll be able to get one by then anyway) could the next wave be on a saturday perhaps?

  20. Goma says:

Ah. Jonny, Dreadknux and Jack Heslop XD

  21. Chi-Town Shawn says:

Going to wait for the next round of ticket, my ability to travel this year is still a big question mark. Things are a little crazy schedule wise at work, and I don’t know if I can get the time off.

  22. F1Krazy says:

    Well, it’s May 13th. I am ready.

  23. Romy says:

It’s my daughter’s birthday today! We queued for over 5 hours last year to go into SoS…It was our first time & we’d be unable to get tickets!!! So we’re staking out the website, to leap at the chance of getting 2 tickets & hot-footing it to Brighton :o)

  24. RikaFurude says:

Aaaand here we go. The hour long ordeal of pressing F5 every 10 seconds.

  25. Spikey says:

Why does this 1 hour feel like forever? XD

  26. Umbugu says:

Wonder how many people are waiting?

  27. BurningFox says:

Well… this sucks. I’m in the North East, and don’t exactly have the most money in the world. No way I can definately get to Brighton… can’t afford a train, can’t persuade my parents to drive me all the way there. They think it’s pointless. I’ll probably never get to SoS, not even once. Shame.

Yes, the travel capital of the UK is London. Quite a good spot to choose. But why could it not be more in the center of the country, instead of the bottom?

    • Katzii says:

Thing is, like the Sonic fandom, not everyone can be satisfied. I’m in the South West, and it’s still a trek and a considerable amount of money to even get to London (although it’s actually in Brighton this year). London’s probably the easiest place to get to for EVERYONE, so that’s why it gets held in the capital usually.

  28. jonathan tranter says:

well it says 2 minuits past 12 on my computer where are the tickets XD lol I JUST CANT WAIT xd

  29. Mike Langlois says:

Its now set for half 12 on the registration page. :(

  30. Peda says:

It’s 2 minutes past 12. Where are the tickets, yo?

  31. ScourgeTheHedgehog says:

So we gotta wait another half hour now?? :(

  32. sheezy93 says:

im getting impatience now xD must patience.. for getting tickets for my family and my lil bro’s mate! xD
it should be open by now! :s btw i live in british x3

  33. Leeann H. says:

Guys, 30 more minutes – SoS’ Twitter says they have technical problems, ulp.

  34. Romy says:

Can’t find link? Is it up yet??

  35. 1Ultima says:

    The register link is here:
    http://register.summerofsonic.com/

    • Mike Langlois says:

They should really have put some adverts on this page. The amount im refreshing it, might of made them some money lol.

    • jonathan tranter says:

how did you find the link at that time as i was waiting and waiting ok and i checked at 12:15PM and there was no banner or link right and then when i check this it said i had to wait untill half 12 so whats going on here ???????

  36. James says:

This is a bit harsh…. Already late for now… And now I’m going to miss out :(

  37. The Blue Striker says:

    12:30? I can’t wait that long!
Especially with the internet messing around!

  38. Madeline says:

Eggman sent some badniks to ruin it but dont worry sonic is here to help :D

  39. Bilal says:

    Can’t wait!

  40. Hannah says:

Is the link up yet? I need 2 tickets…

  41. Wolfiepro1 says:

Hurry up with da tickets man D:<

  42. SK72 says:

Its 12:30 and i don’t see the tickets page ?

  43. SK72 says:

Wait never mind i see it

  44. Major Ziggy says:

Done and dusted I hope. :)

  45. Mike Langlois says:

So it says Application Successful, now all we do is wait for the real tickets?

  46. F1Krazy says:

It says they’re out of tickets, how can they be out of tickets ALREADY? IT’S BEEN FOUR GODDAMN MINUTES.

  47. Bilal says:

    Ran out :(

  48. katy says:

absolutely disgusting, filled in registration form sent it as 12.33 and it said all tickets gone.what a con

    • Luke Stott says:

The exact same thing happened to me :/ How could 400 tickets be gone THAT quickly? >.<

    • Katzii says:

They did say that there would be 400 tickets and there are a lot of people clamouring for them. You’ll just to try again at Wave 2 :)

  49. Judge says:

    Ran out after three minutes?

  50. Madeline says:

i believe i just fainted of stress

  51. s says:

that’s impossible, the links only been up for a few minutes.

  52. Geez, all tickets gone in a few mins…..jesus

  53. Ake says:

Wow, I think I might get one.

  54. FamilyGAMEGuy8 says:

Submitted form at around 12:31………..no tickets left……..

  55. sheezy93 says:

is there something wrong with tickets? it all out already within 4 mins! what a rotten luck!
    how can it possible? xD

  56. jonathan tranter says:

YEAH something went wrong there as i had all my info put in and it says please check your details as i couldnt have any spaces where i put my dam contact number WTF so unfair i am really annoyed about that really pissed off now i just hope i get a second change at the second chance of tickets

  57. Becky says:

How can 400 people already order for tickets, within only a few minutes? Please tell me that this is a glitch.

  58. Necros says:

Okay now I’m really annoyed. Not only did I get up early to make sure I was able to register tickets on time and have to wait for an hour and a half after the time they said they’d post them, but when the registration page finally did open and I submitted an application, instead of getting any sort of confirmation, I got a screen that said they were all out of tickets. This was right when it opened. If it’s going to be like this for every wave, I don’t see how it’s possible for a normal person to get a ticket, plus I don’t even know if I GOT a ticket or not considering I submitted an application, but so far have gotten nothing in the way of confirmation.

    • jonathan tranter says:

same here it said my contact number was inviled and i sued the same as i had last year and i got tickets last year but it said my number was invaled this year WTF there has to be a glitch inn the system

  59. flarespire says:

wait what, filled in the form for me and 1 other person and the tickets were already gone after a few minutes? what the heck?!! i think there were too few tickets in this wave… been waiting since it was announced to be let down in a few minutes… :’(

  60. Purp120 says:

Wow, I got tickets! I still can’t believe they were all gone in a matter of 4 minuets though! Sorry to anyone who didn’t get them :(

  61. Rosie McKean says:

I registered for these tickets as soon as they became available, been refreshing the page since 12 noon, I was very fast in putting in the information and yet still didnt get any …… disgusted !

  62. SK72 says:

yeah we just filled in and it says there all gone? 400 gone within 12mins? no way. must be a Glitch

  63. simon says:

is the registration page broken, i hardly believe that 400 tickets will be sold in the space of few minutes.

  64. Whilst i’m sad for the folk who didn’t get a ticket, it just goes to show how popular SoS has become. 400 tickets sold in under 3 minutes is an amazing feat.

  65. f-sonic says:

my god xD that was intense, i can’t beleve they went so fast, but i mannaged to get one luckly

  66. George Scott says:

very poor sat on this page since 1130 and not a thing look on facebook and they have all gone very very poor

  67. marcustherocker says:

DAMN IT! I missed my ticket! I hope I don’t miss out next time as I really really want to go :-(

  68. Celestial_Wolf says:

Well how appropriate for Sonic Fans to be fast on the tickets. I was able to get one that allows for me and my brother to go. Can’t wait!

  69. Jozerick says:

Out of tickets. I knew I should have registered first and read the terms and conditions later…

  70. Madeline says:

they were gone in super sonic timing

  71. Emperix says:

I hesitated when entering my details as I noticed that the server didn’t appear to be secure. Sorry SoS guys, but that makes me feel uncomfortable.

  72. SK72 says:

I am surprised lol well i hope wave 2 doesn’t go too quick, or summer of sonic will become a hard event to go to.

  73. We have waited paitiently for the tickets, 5,4,3,2,1, , then “boom” they came, we registered immediately and guess what??? yeah…. :( it said they all went…OMG instantaniously !!! When is the next wave pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee? We have our hotel booked and travel, now just these gorgeous tickets……:)

  74. simon h says:

seriously not fair, there should have been more tickets in this wave. doesn’t help that someone posted a link on the comments before the page went live. shame on you people who went onto the page before it went live and kept refreshing it.

  75. Jacob D says:

    Thats not fair
    Ticked off right now
I wanted those tickets so badly, waited day and night for them and now they gone in seconds

  76. Goma says:

Just reserved mine and a friend’s!!!

  77. simon h says:

i literally clicked the link at 12:30 and it said the tickets were gone already.

    • Allybee says:

I don’t believe that is entirely true, my friend. At 12.30 I refreshed the page clicked on the link and filled in the form. I received a confirmation e-mail at 12.32.

  78. Bubbleslou says:

I waited all day and when I had to go out I left it with my mum and she missed it D: all I want is 2 tickets I haven’t been to anything like this before in my life! Dammit, I wanna get some next time…..

  79. The Blue Striker says:

Resevered mine a while back, I was pretty lucky that the internet didn’t screw with me then.

    • K says:

How were you able to reserve your ticket. I only thought you could get them when the registrion opened???

  80. Necros says:

Ugh that just makes me even more annoyed since I clicked the link, filled out the form and DIDN’T get any confirmation.

  81. simon h says:

can you do the next wave on a weekday so that they don’t disappear so quickly.

    • VEDJ-F says:

The issue with adminstering on a weekday is that less people have a chance of getting a ticket if they want it (eg someone who works a 9-5 shift etc). They have to choose a time which alienates the least possible amount of potential attendees.

  82. Thomas F says:

Application successful and being checked, does this mean for Ticket availability?

  83. Goma says:

There will be some tears, there will be some cheers.

Whether you got a ticket or not, you’ll still be able to get in <3

  84. James says:

How do I add people to my ticket?

  85. Soul Hedgie says:

    400 tickets… GONE IN 3 MINUTES!?!

  86. ScourgeTheHedgehog says:

I think I just got ours when I was on the page! Phew! Sorry to the people who didn’t get tickets though :( But luckily there’s another wave so you’ll get another chance hopefully :) and yep I guess those tickets did go at Super Sonic speed!

  87. Nicholas says:

Hey there, I’m in need of a bit of help.
our group leader John just registered a Group ticket for four people, but two of us cannot attend, we’d like to simply remove two of the people from our registration form and simply have a two people group ticket.

I apologise for any hassle, the E-mail we used to register was mine, so if you need to contact anyone then my E-mail address is fine

    • Necros says:

…If at all possible, I call those two spots, hehe X3

    • Bilal says:

If two tickets aren’t needed, any chance that I could have them? me and my dad filled out the registration form, but then it said there all out of tickets :(

  88. danny hodges says:

when will the next wave of tickets be made available went on at exactly 12.30 filled out the form and tickets were gone how can that be :(

  89. Joseph says:

You should have received a link to your application in your E-mail Inbox. Have you tried looking at that to see if you can change anything.

  90. jonathan tranter says:

this is so unfair as it was open for 12 hours last year to get tickets and i know as i was sat there at 10am last year ready to get tickets and 400 are gone with in 3 minuits the has to be a glitch so whats going on here

    • Mike Langlois says:

SoS is just more popular than it was previously. Crush40 are going to be there. Its going to be huge!

  91. Nicholas says:

If it was up to me you’d all have tickets, but I’m not in control, I am hoping the two that become spares will be added back to the remaining next wave(s) so everyone has a chance at them, and yes I’ve checked, it says I can remove people via a button that doesn’t seem to actually be there, again, If a Mod/Admin could simply contact me It’d be greatly appriciated, and I am very, very, very sorry for the hassle

  92. Emperix says:

Well, I may as well kiss goodbye to any chance of going this. Knowing my luck, the next wave(s) will be up when I’m at work or holiday.

  93. jonathan tranter says:

Is there a date when we can apply for the seconds wave of tickets ????? as i am reaaly anooyed as it came back saying my contact number was invaled WTF i used the same as i did last year and i got tickets last year so whats going on here ? please tell us a date for the second wave of tickets please ????

  94. simon h says:

something has gone seriously wrong with the ticket registration this year. i don’t know how many people you’re allowed in the venue but maybe there should be more than 400 tickets in the next wave.

    • Major Ziggy says:

Probably slightly more but you can only fit so many people into the venue without violating safety regulations.

    • Becky says:

I’ve looked around the website, and I’ve read somewhere that the venue is only supposed to have 850 people. Consisting that 400 tickets were just given away within 3 minutes; and there maybe a lot of members of staff and guests… There maybe only a slim chance that there is another wave of tickets for that size of people coming.

    • Becky says:

Sorry, I misread the article. It was actually 870 people.

“…the Hove Centre is the 870-person capacity”

  95. Rel says:

I managed to grab a ticket, but 400 tickets gone in 3 minutes is insane. Something needs to change regarding ticketing for SoS, or things like this might cause someone, next time, to think “Why bother?”.

I’d actually prefer the organisers to charge a small amount (maybe £5) for tickets next year, or make it a deposit that you get back by turning up to the event. It’d put off those people who register even if they’re not sure if they can come or not (preventing those who can go from enjoying a good day out). Once you pay for an event, you generally have to go or it’s money wasted.

    • Katzii says:

A suggestion was made in a previous update of perhaps having half the tickets be free, and half of them be ones where you can make a donation and be guaranteed a ticket, and the donations could go towards venue hire, et cetera.

    • Katzii says:

It didn’t go down very well, though. Legally, they can’t “charge” people, from what I’ve read.

  96. Sonsilv2 says:

YES I GOT THE TICKETS!!!!! As promised to dreadknux I will say hi to him

  97. Daniel says:

What registration link? It can’t have gone already!?

  98. Daniel says:

    Wait, what? All gone already?!
How is that possible in a mere two hours?!
There’d better be another wave coming… Sunday is a very bad time for me, since I’m generally offline then!

    • H Hog says:

2 hours? Try 2 minutes. They went in the blink of an eye.

      • H Hog says:

(And sadly, you’re not the only one who missed out, Dan; Euan and Luke didn’t get theirs in either – also, I only managed to get one. So unless I get a second one in the next wave, that’s both Steph and me out as well, ’cause neither of us is planning on going alone!)

        • Danbuster says:

          Let’s hope they set a more realistic number and a more realistic time, so we can all get ourselves sorted out! ^^;

  99. danny hodges says:

I am very suspicious as to why there was a registration link before the tickets went live that sounds like people were tampering with the system

  100. ScourgeTheHedgehog says:

I think they found the link via Facebook but I don’t know, and I’m pretty sure it wasn’t a hack

    • ScourgeTheHedgehog says:

      But then again… :S

      • Mike Langlois says:

No hack. At 11:59 the big registration button was on the website. I clicked it, and it said I had to wait until 12:30. I just didn’t close the web page.

        • ScourgeTheHedgehog says:

Well someone earlier put the link on the comments early, we couldn’t get the tickets them, but when it hit half past I managed to register because of that link, I think that’s how they sold out so quick

  101. simon h says:

people could still access the registration website.all they had to do was refresh every few seconds until it went live. if people were waiting on the site before the link was up on here, there was no chance of getting a ticket. i’m seriously considering not even bothering now. i started saving money and buying stuff for the day thinking i’d get a ticket no problem like last year. it’d be better if all the tickets were nullified and at a later date every ticket for the day should be made available, instead of the same thing happening again.

    • Major Ziggy says:

Nullifying would be counter-productive. Those who were lucky enough to get the tickets might not be so lucky for Take 2, then we’d have this argument all over again.

  102. simon h says:

nobody had a chance if people were already waiting on the website. not really fair on those who were waiting for the link and couldn’t get to their computers before hand.

  103. ScourgeTheHedgehog says:

Hopefully if this was a glitch SoS will fix it, maybe even send out the next wave early… This was just how I suspected, the Olympic problem all over again -_-

  104. Major Ziggy says:

Does anyone understand the concept of getting tickets for a hugely popular event? SoS has been growing for the last 5 years, you’d expect tickets to go in the blink of an eye. Anyone ever tried getting tickets for a modern popular recording artist like Take That or Justin Bieber? Tens of thousands of tickets gone just like that. There’s only four hundred on offer, what did you expect?

  105. simon h says:

    had no problem last year

  106. screwyoualicia says:

    whats the link
