Sonic fans, start your engines! We are proud to announce that the Summer of Sonic convention will be the first place to get some hands-on time with the upcoming Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed.
As part of an amazing tour promoting the game, Sumo Digital’s Executive Producer Steve Lycett (also known as S0L on many Sonic forums – including SEGA’s own) will also be at Summer of Sonic to meet with fans and introduce the next evolution in hedgehog-heavy car racing.
Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed pits famous SEGA characters – from Sonic the Hedgehog characters including Tails, Knuckles and Eggman, to familiar faces from Jet Set Radio, Skies of Arcadia and Crazy Taxi – against one another in an explosive racing experience that takes you across road, water and even the air! Vehicles transform from kart to boat to plane, in dynamic stages that cover a wealth of SEGA history.
It’s the long-awaited sequel to the hugely successful Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing – and you get to play it before anyone else on July 7th!
If you can’t make it to Summer of Sonic this year, but can travel to the US, fear not because our friends at SEGA of America across the pond will also be showcasing Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed at the Sonic Boom convention on Friday, July 13th 2012. Demo pods will be available so you can be the first in the country to play the game, and Steve Lycett will also be there to meet eager American fans!

I don’t like this sort of racing games that much (Sonic in a CAR ?!), but this is great news nonetheless.

cool, i hope we get play a sonic track on the day and not a track based on the other sega games such as the super monkey ball & skies of arcadia tracks. it’s also cool that we get to meet steve lycett.
